Souchay Gossen Foundation Scholarship
The Souchay Gossen Family Foundation has instituted a scholarship for a deserving student of the Winnipeg School Division who meets the criteria of the award. There are two types of awards: a one-time award and a four-year scholarship.
This scholarship is open to students who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada
Schools nominate one student who meets the criteria. Only one student from each school will be considered.

Deadline for application: the first Friday in May.
The application will only be considered if the documentation is complete.

CRITERIA:
- Financial need – the student’s post-secondary education will pose a significant hardship for the student or the student’s family.
- Commitment to education – as evidenced by consistent attendance and good achievement
- Engagement to the school community – as shown by participation in various extra-curricular activities such as sports teams, choir, band, clubs or other groups
- (optional) Engagement to the community at large – volunteering or participation in community groups
Applications should reflect how the student meets the criteria of the award.

- an application form,
- two references: one from a teacher and one from someone who worked with them outside of school (extra-curricular activity, team, volunteering either connected to the school or in the community).
- a transcript of their marks
- a copy of their current report card with both first and second semester courses.
